How to Find a Human cDNA Clone

  • Gene name (e.g., G protein-coupled receptor 85)
  • Description (e.g., GPCR, GPR, or G protein-coupled receptor)

Note: We provide human cDNA clones in a variety of formats (e.g., plasmid, adenovirus, and lentivirus) and many have multiple transcript variants available. This means you will likely get several results when you search our catalog. If you are unsure which product to select, please refer to the following. All products beginning with “Ad-“ are packaged in adenovirus.

FAQ

How do I know if adenovirus is right for my experiments?

If you are unsure which virus to use, we recommend reading our Viral Delivery Guide. You can also visit our Plasmid ORFs or Lentivirus ORFs pages for more information. Although we do not have a premade collection of human cDNA clones packaged in AAV, we can transfer the desired ORF into an AAV backbone if the insert size does not exceed 4.7 kb.

What promoters, reporters, and tags do you have available?
By default, expression of our adenovirus human cDNA clones is driven by the CMV promoter. C-terminal FLAG and His tags are included to allow for easy detection and purification of the overexpressed protein. What is Vigene’s guarantee?

Vigene guarantees that our human cDNA clones will contain the ORF listed on the product description page. Please note that we cannot guarantee protein over expression because it will depend on your experimental conditions.
